Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Coopersville seeking Purchasing Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for raw materials and components.
• Oversee inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize carrying costs and stockouts.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, fostering professional development.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality and ethical standards.
• Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and procurement software.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
