Salary Range: $55,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving associates.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to meet shipping deadlines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing shipping/receiving role.
• 1+ year experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management systems and software.
• Strong understanding of shipping/receiving best practices and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system for inventory management and order fulfillment.
• HAZMAT certification or experience handling hazardous materials.
• Forklift operator certification with a clean safety record.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in using barcode scanning technology and related software.
