Shop Manager | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Shop Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
• Manage and mentor shop floor personnel, including performance reviews and training.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material procurement with supply chain.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on new product introductions.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• Proven ability to interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, budgets, and production schedules
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading and developing a team
