Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking EDM Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor EDM machinery for precision manufacturing.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of EDM equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to program EDM operations.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy using various measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDM machine operation and part quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize EDM processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine setup
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with laser alignment tools
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Proficiency in a CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
• Certification in a related field (e.g., NIMS, Tool and Die Making)
