Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements.
• Creates detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback for continuous improvement.
• Performs engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Troubleshoots design-related production issues and implements corrective actions.
• Researches and evaluates new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with FEA software (e.g., Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation).
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Project management experience, especially in a cross-functional team environment.
