Bookkeeper / Office Manager | Battle Creek, MI
Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and timely tax filings.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee general office operations, including ordering supplies, managing correspondence, and maintaining office equipment.
- Support human resources functions such as new employee onboarding and maintaining personnel files.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Manage incoming calls and visitors, providing administrative support to the management team.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise or similar ERP system.
- 3+ years experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
- Demonstrated ability to manage office operations, including supply management and vendor relations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Familiarity with inventory management principles
- Experience with expense reporting software (e.g., Concur, Expensify)
