Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
  • Optimize tool paths and cutting parameters for efficiency and surface finish.
  • Perform test runs of programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues.
  • Document setup sheets, tooling lists, and operational instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
  • Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and fixture design for lathe operations.
  • Knowledge of various materials (e.g., steels, aluminum, plastics) and their machinability.
  • Ability to perform in-process inspection and troubleshoot machining issues.
