Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and optimize programs.
• Document program details, setup sheets, and tooling lists.
• Continuously improve programming techniques and machining efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for toolpath generation.
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, insert grades, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience with machine setup, offsets, and first-part inspection.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software beyond basic G-code generation (e.g., advanced toolpath optimization, simulation).
• Familiarity with a variety of CNC controls and their specific programming nuances (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma, Siemens).
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing programs on the machine, identifying and resolving issues with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Renishaw or other in-process probing systems for part inspection and tool setting.
• CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for part design review and fixture conceptualization.
