Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformity to quality standards using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation, tooling, or programming.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Experience with set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Knowledge of various tooling, inserts, and their applications.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on CNC machinery
• Experience with quality inspection tools and techniques (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers)
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior machinists
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
