Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding methods.
• Simulate machining processes to detect and avoid collisions or inefficiencies.
• Optimize tool paths and cutting parameters for cycle time reduction and surface finish improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and refine programs.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists for production.
• Perform post-processing of CAM generated tool paths for specific machine controls.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new tooling and machining technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming CNC mills
• Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming
• Expertise with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks)
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
• Ability to select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming
• Proficiency in a second CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM)
• Ability to design fixtures and tooling
• Familiarity with robotics or automation systems
• Experience with post-processor development or customization
