Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Create and interpret G-code and M-code for complex part geometries.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Optimize existing programs for efficiency, cycle time reduction, and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability.
• Maintain and update program documentation and tooling libraries.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for manual programming and editing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with various CNC machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for design and simulation.
• Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and metrology tools.
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
