Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
- Create and interpret G-code and M-code for complex part geometries.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.
- Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Optimize existing programs for efficiency, cycle time reduction, and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability.
- Maintain and update program documentation and tooling libraries.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for manual programming and editing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Experience with various CNC machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
- Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software for design and simulation.
- Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and metrology tools.
- Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
