Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform post-processing and verify G-code for accuracy and machine compatibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to refine programs and troubleshoot issues.
• Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, reduced cycle times, and improved part quality.
• Create detailed setup sheets and tooling lists to support production operations.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of new tooling and machining technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with various tooling, fixturing, and workholding methods for diverse part geometries.
• Knowledge of different materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics) and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software beyond basic G-code generation (e.g., advanced toolpath optimization, simulation).
• Familiarity with a variety of machine controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) and their specific programming nuances.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with post-processor creation or modification.
