Salary Range: $46,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Montague that are seeking EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
• Select appropriate electrodes, tooling, and machining parameters for specific jobs.
• Monitor EDM processes, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and related equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish using various measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues and malfunctions with EDM machinery.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, depth gauges)
• Basic understanding of G-code programming and machine control interfaces
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with laser alignment tools.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operation.
• Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
