EHS Manager | Spring Lake, MI
Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for EHS-related incidents.
- Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, disposal, and documentation.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing specialized training.
- Oversee the management of industrial hygiene programs, including air monitoring and noise surveys.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes and new projects.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are highly preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application to EHS.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms for incident management, compliance tracking, and data analysis.
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs for diverse audiences.
