Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Estimators. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for new and existing products.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process.
• Present detailed cost breakdowns and explanations to stakeholders.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with estimating software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
