Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes for production.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or quality deviations.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling offsets to maintain part accuracy.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts according to production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and G-code
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for programming and simulation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
• Proficiency in using metrology equipment beyond basic calipers and micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
