Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Wire and Sinker EDM machines according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring tools.
• Monitor EDM machine operations, adjusting parameters (e.g., power, feed rate, gap) as needed.
• Load and unload workpieces, ensuring proper fixturing and alignment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of EDM equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot common EDM machining issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and optical comparators.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all quality control procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in other CNC machining processes (e.g., milling, turning).
• Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge for program review or minor edits.
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on EDM machinery.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
