Salary Range: $86,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Facilitate APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC, for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) for internal and customer issues.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in external/customer audits to assess QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor key quality performance indicators, analyze data, and initiate continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and improve process capability.
  • Manage customer quality concerns and facilitate timely resolution, including communication through customer portals and direct interaction.
  • Support supplier quality development and perform supplier quality assessments to ensure incoming material quality and compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Proficiency in core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation
