Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues for hardware, software, and network connectivity across office and production environments.
  • Provide on-site support for manufacturing-specific equipment, including production line PCs, barcode scanners, and ruggedized devices.
  • Log, prioritize, and manage help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including systems critical to manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor the health and performance of IT infrastructure supporting production, escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on IT equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with OT (Operational Technology) teams and external vendors for specialized manufacturing system support.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs) and manufacturing-specific software (e.g., MES, ERP).
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly in a fast-paced production environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or SCADA.
  • Experience supporting shop floor IT equipment (e.g., barcode scanners, label printers, ruggedized devices).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and the critical impact of IT on production.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
