Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify part conformance.
- Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance reports.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating the Material Review Board (MRB) process or return-to-vendor procedures.
- Maintain organized inspection records, material samples, and measurement equipment according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with purchasing, quality engineering, and suppliers to resolve material quality discrepancies.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with company quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Recommended Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and basic quality control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.
- Previous experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems for material transactions or quality data.
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
