Inventory Control Manager | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Oversee and execute cycle counting programs and periodic physical inventories.
• Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing departments to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators such as turns, accuracy, and obsolescence.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) to improve efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing ERP/MRP systems for inventory management (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control best practices, including cycle counting, demand forecasting, and ABC analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage an inventory control team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification/experience
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, advanced Excel)
• Experience with automated inventory systems (e.g., RFID, AS/RS)
