Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Kalamazoo, MI

Salary Range: $42,000 - $62,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately document and log all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
• Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
• Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for outgoing goods.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic math skills for inventory counting and verification

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management software
• Forklift certification
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with international shipping documentation
