Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Set up and operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
• Inspect and test welds for defects, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding procedures.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve welding issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding is a plus.
• Proven experience as a welder or in a related manufacturing role.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Plasma Cutting).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and protocols.
• Experience with quality control and inspection of welds.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, orbital welding)
• - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX)
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and engineering drawings
• - Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods like visual inspection, dye penetrant, or ultrasonic testing
• - Basic understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding
