Operations Manager | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $108,000 - $156,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and line workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and quality departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and waste reduction strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of improving production efficiency and reducing operational costs
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other manufacturing software
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
• Proficiency in using an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for production planning and inventory management
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and best practices
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
