HR Generalist | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401k, and leave policies.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, including OSHA, FLSA, and FMLA.
  • Develop and deliver HR training programs on topics such as harassment prevention and safety protocols.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Bonus Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze HR metrics and present data-driven insights
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
