Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wayland that are seeking skilled Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues specific to manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production floor equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and associated control systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and specialized industrial computing devices.
  • Document, track, and monitor technical problems and solutions within a ticketing system.
  • Assist manufacturing personnel with software applications, including MES, ERP, and CAD/CAM systems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security checks on manufacturing IT infrastructure.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers, shop floor devices) and software issues.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with SCADA systems or other manufacturing control systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).
  • Basic understanding of networking in an industrial setting (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT/IT converged environment.
