HR Manager | Zeeland, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Zeeland region seeking HR Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company objectives.
- Oversee recruitment and staffing processes, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and onboarding for manufacturing roles.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity across manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans for factory staff.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment through compliance with OSHA regulations and promotion of safety initiatives.
- Lead HR initiatives related to training and development, fostering a skilled and engaged workforce.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices in a manufacturing context.
- Experience with HRIS implementation and optimization, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational goals in manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications
- SHRM-SCP certification
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with HRIS implementation and optimization
- Proven track record in labor relations and union contract negotiation
