Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed first article inspections (FAI) on manufactured parts and assemblies per AS9102 standards.
• Verify dimensional accuracy using a variety of precision measuring tools, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, CAD models, and other technical documents to ensure compliance.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, generating comprehensive FAI reports and non-conformance reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and escalate critical quality issues to appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 13485 quality management systems.
• CMM programming and operation experience.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Metrology or calibration experience.
• Experience with various GD&T software applications.
