Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and favorable terms.
• Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering to forecast demand and align material availability with production schedules.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in material flow.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies for material handling and storage.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and production planning
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to materials flow
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding material requirements and inventory levels
