Salary Range: $86,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including IATF 16949 certification and customer specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using core tools like APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and internal non-conformances using 8D methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches and process changes to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality performance indicators, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support on quality tools and IATF 16949 requirements to manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
  • Strong knowledge of core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in internal and external audits.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced quality planning (AQP) tools beyond the basics (e.g., advanced FMEA techniques, control plan optimization).
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, with demonstrable project experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with specific customer-specific requirements (CSRs) for major automotive OEMs (e.g., GM BIQS, Ford Q1, Stellantis CQI).
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process improvement.
