Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and disposition recommendations.
  • Utilize various precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs.
  • Initiate and process non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) for rejected incoming goods and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials.
  • Maintain inspection equipment by performing routine cleaning and calibration checks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality procedures within the inspection area.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T knowledge a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, hardness testers).
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, welding) and their impact on part quality.
