Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of Lean principles (e.g., 5S, SMED, Kanban, VSM) across manufacturing operations.
- Analyze production processes and data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Design and implement visual management systems to enhance real-time performance monitoring and problem-solving.
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement events (e.g., Kaizen, workshops) with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and deliver training programs on Lean methodologies to build internal capabilities.
- Standardize work procedures and best practices to ensure consistent quality and output.
- Utilize data analytics and problem-solving tools (e.g., root cause analysis, A3) to address operational challenges.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, Arena)
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
