Inspection Technician | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Paw Paw seeking Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain various inspection equipment, including CMMs or optical comparators, as required.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Familiarity with various inspection tools and metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with various measurement tools (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers)
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
