Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Wayland that are seeking Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems and on physical records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
• Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process checks according to established procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Strong understanding of various measurement tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify defects
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Certification in a relevant quality discipline (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician).
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
