Inspection Technician | Grand Haven, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished goods.
• Operate and maintain various inspection equipment, including CMMs, calipers, and micrometers.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Adhere to established quality control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in using various precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQIA).
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
