Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Grand Haven that are seeking Packaging Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Optimizes packaging for cost, efficiency, sustainability, and damage reduction.
• Conducts packaging material testing and validation.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing.
• Creates and maintains packaging specifications and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoots packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Stays current with industry trends and new packaging technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with various packaging materials and processes (e.g., corrugated, flexibles, rigid plastics, thermoforming).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to launch.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
• Project management experience
