Payroll Specialist | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Reconcile payroll data, general ledger accounts, and tax filings.
• Administer timekeeping system and resolve employee payroll discrepancies.
• Calculate and process deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
• Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports for management and accounting.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and HRIS systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws and wage and hour compliance.
• Experience with timekeeping systems and their integration with payroll.
• Ability to perform detailed reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
