Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Spring Lake seeking Packaging Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain to integrate packaging requirements.
• Optimize packaging for cost efficiency, sustainability, and manufacturability while maintaining product integrity and quality.
• Conduct material selection and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, bills of material, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line and in the field.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for packaging processes and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging validation, testing protocols, and quality control
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable packaging materials and design principles
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design and simulation
• Knowledge of GHS, DOT, and other relevant shipping regulations
• Familiarity with automated packaging machinery and robotics
