Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Optimize packaging for cost-efficiency, sustainability, and manufacturability.
• Conduct packaging material testing and validation to ensure performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, on packaging projects.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Research and implement new packaging technologies and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with packaging line optimization, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for packaging (e.g., ISTA, ASTM, FDA).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Knowledge of ISTA or ASTM packaging testing standards.
• Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
