Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize laser welding processes for various materials and product lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve laser welding process issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and product design teams to ensure manufacturability and implement new product introductions.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, specifications, and control plans.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on laser welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct material analysis and metallurgical evaluations to assess weld quality and integrity.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in laser welding processes and applications within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, material science, and weldability of various alloys.
• Proficiency in programming and operating laser welding equipment, including parameter optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with weld inspection techniques (e.g., visual, destructive, NDT) and quality control standards.
