Plant Manager | Allendale, MI
Salary Range: $136,000 - $187,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and safety.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost efficiencies, and quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as supply chain, engineering, and sales to support overall business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 3 years as a Production or Plant Manager.
- Proven track record in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, TPM).
- Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, develop budgets, and achieve financial targets.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse workforce.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and maintaining a strong safety culture.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems
- Project management experience, particularly in capital expenditure projects
- Fluency in Spanish (or other relevant second language based on location)
