Salary Range: $63,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Paw Paw that are seeking skilled Cost Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs and bills of material.
• Analyze manufacturing variances (e.g., material, labor, overhead) and provide insights into their drivers.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis for various products and departments.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold.
• Monitor inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
• Support make-or-buy decisions and capital expenditure justifications with cost data.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• CMA certification or progress towards it is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Advanced Excel skills, including VBA for financial modeling
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Fluency in a second language relevant to global supply chains
