Salary Range: $123,000 - $172,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled Controllers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and cost accounting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
• Lead the annual budget process and provide ongoing variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
• Collaborate with external auditors on annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• CPA certification preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
• CPA license or CMA certification
• Experience in a Private Equity (PE) backed environment
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
