Salary Range: $121,000 - $170,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the St. Johns region seeking Controllers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to management.
• Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with operations to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction and profitability improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting principles
• Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
• CPA certification highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team
