Advanced Quality Engineer | Charlotte, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Advanced Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced quality control plans for new and existing products.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions for complex quality issues.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is built into products and processes.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and drive improvements in supplier performance.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical guidance on quality tools and techniques.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry-standard quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
- Proven ability to lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Expertise in statistical analysis software and techniques for process control and capability studies.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent professional certification.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process improvement.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC).
- Ability to lead and mentor junior quality engineers.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding).
