Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and part models to determine optimal machining processes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and fixtures based on material, part geometry, and machining operations.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct potential collisions or errors before actual machining.
• Optimize existing CNC programs for improved efficiency, reduced cycle times, and enhanced surface finish.
• Collaborate with machinists and manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and refine machining strategies.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling (e.g., SolidWorks CAM, Mastercam).
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Experience training or mentoring less experienced machinists/programmers.
