Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Create and interpret G-code and M-code to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters based on material specifications and part requirements.
• Perform simulations and toolpath verification to optimize programs and prevent collisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes.
• Document setup sheets, tooling lists, and operational instructions for production use.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and surface finish specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code programming (M and G codes) for 3-axis CNC mills.
• Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) for tool path generation.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding strategies.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software beyond primary package (e.g., Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM).
• Experience with 5-axis machining and programming.
• Familiarity with G-code simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut).
• Ability to design fixtures and workholding solutions.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
