Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Automation Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots to control and optimize production lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define project requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Experience with vision systems, sensors, and other automation components.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation solutions for manufacturing processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for quality inspection and guidance.
• Familiarity with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) for extracting insights from production data.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems (ICS).
• Certifications in relevant automation technologies (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000,ロボットプログラミング).
