EHS Manager | Grand Haven, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Provide EHS training and promote a strong safety culture among employees.
• Manage hazardous waste and chemical inventory in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into daily operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems.
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Fluency in Spanish or other relevant languages for the local workforce.
