The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize lead times.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and foster continuous improvement.
• Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and internal needs to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to define material specifications and ensure product quality.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while meeting production demands.
• Resolve supplier disputes and non-conformances efficiently to minimize impact on production.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions
• Demonstrated analytical skills for cost analysis, market trends, and supplier performance
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to international suppliers
